8. Recheck if your Yahoo account is successfully added to the Mail app. If not, remove the Yahoo account from the Mail app. You need to re-add the app password once again but at Add an Account window, choose Other Account POP, IMAP.

9. Fill in the details and check if the account has been successfully added to the Mail app.

Note: If you are still experiencing the yahoo mail error code, you can use the web version of Yahoo Mail. Furthermore, you can also try using a 3rd party client such as Mozilla Thunderbird.
