Depending on the manufacturer of your device, the File Explorer would be named differently. But for all of them, the shared files would be stored in your Storage. To set an example, Samsung has their File Explorer named “My Files”.

Once you access your File Explorer, you should be able to see a folder created by ShareMe in which all of your received files will be stored.

How do you receive on ShareMe?

Launch the ShareMe app on your device and select “Receive”. The app will ask you to turn on permissions in order for the app to function such as the location and Bluetooth services. Once you’ve switched them on, select “Next” and a QR Code will be displayed on the next screen.

Have the sender open the ShareMe app on their device and select “Send” and grant access permissions for the app and have them scan your QR Code. Once the scan is successful, it will then start sending the file.

How do I delete ShareMe app?

The quickest way to uninstall ShareMe is to hold down the app icon on the home screen/desktop. You will then have additional options in which you will see the “Uninstall App” option. Select the option and it will uninstall the app from your device.

How do you share between phones?

You should have ShareMe installed on both phones. Once done, launch the app simultaneously and you will see 2 options, select “Send” on the phone that you want to send a file from and select “Receive” on the receiving phone.

For the phone that will be sending the file, after selecting the “Send” option, select the file/files that you want to send and it will show the camera app to scan the QR code for the receiving phone. On the receiving phone, select “Receive” and it will show the QR code which should be scanned by the sending phone. Once the scan is successful, wait for the transfer to complete.

How do I transfer files from ShareMe to my computer?

Launch the ShareMe app on your phone, in the upper-right corner of the app, tap on the burger menu (3 horizontal lines) and select “Share to PC”. The receiving computer should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network that your phone is connected to. Once both devices are connected to the same network, tap “Start” on the ShareMe app on your phone. Set your username and password, this will be used in order for your computer to access the files on your phone.

You will then see a pop-up on the ShareMe up showing you your “FTP” address. Type that ftp address on Windows explorer on your computer to see your Android’s files.
