Most of the time, the DISM command scans without any problems. However, if you have damaged files or cannot connect to the Internet, you’ll need another way to complete the task.

You have the option such as using “install.wim” or “install.esd” file from a different computer. You can use a bootable install media or Windows 10 ISO file. If you do this option, check if the files match the Windows 10 edition, version, and language.

If you opt to use a source for the files, it is highly recommended to use the Media Creation Tool. Media Creation Tool is the best way to download and prepare a new copy of Windows 10.

  1. Open this Microsoft support website and download your new copy of Microsoft 10.
