sizlsearch

Sizlsearch is an adware application distributed by Yontoo, a division of Sambreel Holdings based in Carlsbad, CA. It is a rebranded version of various web browser extensions that Yontoo offers, all with similar names. The program is included as part of a download bundle and, upon installation, installs itself as a web browser add-in, plugin, and/or extension depending on the browser being used (e.g. Chrome, IE, Firefox). Sizlsearch injects various forms of advertising into the browser, including inline text, multi-site searching, related search results, comparison shopping pop-ups, as well as a number of banners and pop-ups/pop-unders for additional offers of standard ads and unwanted software. In addition to displaying advertisements, the adware extension modifies the web browser's settings to facilitate ad injection offers. Without any notice to the user, the software automatically adjusts the two-second load time in Internet Explorer by turning it off, preventing IE from warning the user that a slower BHO is causing unwanted effects. It also modifies the browser's Instant Search feature and adjusts the browser so that clicking on a search engine results page link opens the page in a new browser tab. Additional features may be auto-enabled after installing. The sizlsearch content includes advertisements and is not affiliated with any underlying websites. Browser settings will be adjusted at install. User info is collected and shared for ad relevance and other purposes."
