About focusbase?
Focusbase is a web browser extension that displays banner ads and contextual link ads. The ads are injected by the web browser plugin (Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) and will be displayed on any website, regardless of affiliation with the publisher. The application is typically bundled by third-party download managers that use deceptive advertising techniques to install the software on the user's computer. In addition to displaying ads, the application may also modify the browser settings, potentially lowering the browser's security settings and changing the home page and search provider.
Multiple virus scanners have detected malware in focusbase.
