Rid Spyware

Rid Spyware is a software program developed by Crawler, designed to detect and remove spyware from personal computers. During installation, the program creates a startup registration point in Windows to automatically start when the user boots the PC. It also adds a Windows Service to run continuously in the background. Manual stopping of the service may cause the program to malfunction. Additionally, it adds a background controller service set to automatically run, with the option to delay the start of the service through the service manager. Upon installation, it adds a context menu handler to the Windows shell, providing quick access to the program. The primary executable file is named ridspyware.exe, and the setup package generally installs approximately 10 files, with a total size of about 24.54 MB. The installed file RidSpywareUpdate.exe is the auto-update component of the program, designed to check for software updates, notify users, and apply them when new versions are discovered. The program is most commonly used on Windows 10 and Windows 7 (SP1) operating systems, with the majority of users located in the United States. It also has a strong user base in the United Kingdom and Australia.
