Yahoo! Search Protection is a feature designed to safeguard your default search engine settings from unauthorized changes by third parties. When a third party attempts to modify your default search engine to something other than Yahoo!, Yahoo! Search Protection will prompt you to confirm the change and will prevent the modification until you confirm it. With Yahoo! Search Protection enabled, any changes you make to your default search settings will be logged, and any third party attempts to alter your default search engine settings will be prevented. If you choose to switch your default search engine from Yahoo! to another provider, Yahoo! Search Protection will automatically be disabled. However, if you decide to revert back to Yahoo! as your default search engine, Yahoo! Search Protection will be re-enabled to protect your search settings.
