Cradle of Rome

Cradle of Rome is a puzzle and strategy video game developed by Cerasus Media and originally published by D3 Publisher. The game's mechanics are similar to Bejeweled, requiring players to flip jewels and resources on a playing field to create matches of at least three items of the same type. As matches are formed, resources such as grain and wood are accumulated to build the Roman Empire. Cradle of Rome was initially based on an Awem Studios game called Rome Puzzle. Originally intended as a casual game, it is now widely available on various websites as the "play online for free" Rome Puzzle version. Additionally, the Rome Puzzle version can be downloaded for free at GameTop and is fully playable without restrictions until the end of the game. The Rome Puzzle version was redeveloped and rebranded as Cradle of Rome by D3 Publisher.
