LiftOff Toolbar

The LiftOff Toolbar is a web browser extension that provides additional functionality as well as potentially unwanted integrations. It is designed to take control of the user's search functionality in order to generate revenue for the publisher and Conduit. The toolbar may install itself in Internet Explorer as a toolbar and Browser Helper Object, and often includes adware extensions such as Cash Back and Price Gong. During installation, users are typically provided with options to prevent search hijacking, and the toolbar may be bundled with third-party publishers to maximize installation revenue. The distribution of the toolbar often involves payouts to the publishers, with the amount varying based on the geographical location of the host. The platform may also install a service "engine" to protect the toolbar and modified search and home pages to Conduit's affiliate search partner. As stated in the License Agreement, the installation process may involve changes to Internet Browser settings and the ability to opt for changes to mobile device and social network account settings.
