Garry's Mod is a sandbox physics game utilizing a custom version of the Source engine. The game is exclusively available on Valve's digital distribution platform, Steam. Previously, Garry's Mod required users to own at least one Source engine-based game on Steam, but it has since become a standalone title. Widely used for creating and sharing videos on platforms such as YouTube, Garry's Mod originated as a modification for Valve's Half-Life 2 before evolving into its own Steam release. While regarded as a full-fledged game, Garry's Mod lacks a specific objective, allowing players to utilize its suite of tools for various purposes.
