Garry's Mod 13 Beta

Garry's Mod is a sandbox physics game powered by a modified Source engine, and is available for purchase on Valve's digital distribution platform, Steam. In the past, players were required to own at least one game based on the Source engine in order to access Garry's Mod. This versatile game is commonly used for the creation and sharing of videos on platforms like YouTube. Originally developed as a modification for Valve's Half-Life 2, Garry's Mod has since evolved into a standalone game on Steam. While it is often considered a complete gaming experience, Garry's Mod does not feature a specific objective, allowing players to utilize its robust set of tools for any purpose they desire. Within the game, players can manipulate a wide array of "props" – objects that can be placed within the virtual environment. These props can be sourced from any installed Source engine game or from a collection created by the community. Additionally, Garry's Mod includes two tools – the Physics Gun and the Tool Gun – designed for manipulating in-game objects. The game makes use of the Source engine's modified version of the Havok Physics Engine, enabling players to construct intricate contraptions that adhere to the laws of physics. Multiplayer gameplay, supported through dedicated game servers, allows players to collaborate on building projects and communicate with one another using text or voice chat.
