About KeyPlayer?

KeyPlayer is a web browser extension/plugin available for Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. Its primary function is to inject advertising into the web browser using Virtue Interactive’s Advertising Modules. This adware displays banner ads in various locations within the browser, as well as additional display ads, coupons, popups, price comparisons, and in-line text hyperlinks. The software operates by adding a proxy server between the browser and the internet, allowing it to track web pages visited and inject ads accordingly. It also modifies the browser's and operating system's functionality and installs and enables the plugin using a protection feature. This protection feature prevents 3rd party programs, including anti-virus programs, from disabling the ad-serving proxy server.

Multiple virus scanners have detected malware in KeyPlayer.
