PDF Creator

PDFCreator is a software application designed for converting documents into Portable Document Format (PDF) on Microsoft Windows operating systems. It operates by creating a virtual printer that generates PDF files, allowing for seamless PDF file creation from within any application by simply selecting the PDFCreator printer. The software is developed using Microsoft Visual Basic and is available to the public at no cost. PDFCreator is compatible with both 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Windows, including Windows 7, utilizing primarily 32-bit code internally. PDF generation is facilitated by Ghostscript, included in the setup packages. In addition to PDF conversion, PDFCreator offers security features such as the ability to disable printing, copying of text or images, and modifying the original document. Users can also implement user and owner passwords to restrict PDF files in various ways - the former required to access the PDF file and the latter necessary to modify permissions and passwords.
