Windows Driver Frameworks Update Packages

Windows Driver Frameworks (WDF) is a comprehensive set of libraries designed for the development of device drivers compatible with Windows operating systems. WDF encompasses both the Kernel-Mode Driver Framework (KMDF) and User-Mode Driver Framework (UMDF). These frameworks facilitate the implementation of the essential software components that enable communication between hardware devices and the Windows OS. In situations where Microsoft offers support for a particular device class, Windows automatically incorporates one of its pre-existing class drivers. However, for devices not covered by Microsoft's in-box drivers, the hardware manufacturer or a third-party vendor must supply a custom driver. Upon the initial detection of a device, the user installs the required driver, after which Windows consistently loads the client driver whenever the device is connected and unloads it upon disconnection.
