About Advanced Tech Support Rescue Connect?

LogMeIn offers remote access products that utilize a proprietary remote desktop protocol transmitted via SSL. Each remote desktop is equipped with an SSL certificate to securely encrypt communications between the remote desktop and the accessing computer. Users can access remote desktops through the LogMeIn Ignition stand-alone application or a web portal. The web portal requires an ActiveX plugin for Internet Explorer, or a LogMeIn plugin for Firefox, or a LogMeIn plugin for Safari. If those options are not available, the web portal will fall back to requiring Java to run a Java program, and failing that, it will use a screen-shot-based HTML remote control. The service connects the remote desktop and the local computer using SSL over TCP or UDP and utilizes NAT traversal techniques to achieve peer-to-peer connectivity when available.
