The Jeppesen Text Viewer is a software application developed by Jeppesen. Upon installation, the program incorporates a Windows Service that operates continuously in the background. It is important to note that manually halting this service has been observed to lead to program malfunctions. Additionally, a background controller service is included, which is configured to run automatically. Users have the option to delay the initiation of this service through the service manager. The standard setup package installs approximately 92 files and occupies around 5.04 MB (5,281,520 bytes) of space. Notably, the installed file cldupdate.exe functions as the auto-update component of the software, responsible for checking and applying software updates when new versions are detected. In terms of users, the majority are found to be operating the software on Windows 7 (SP1). Geographically, while approximately 50% of users are based in the United States, there is a significant user base in the Netherlands and Austria as well.
