This software is an adware program, distributed as a JustPlug.It web browser extension through the WebPick (InstalleRex) download and install manager. It is typically bundled with various adware offers and functions as a cross-browser extension, comprising a Windows service, auto-starting component, and browser toolbar/plugin. Its primary purpose is to inject advertisements in the form of banner ads, hyper-text links, and pop-ups. Some versions may also hijack existing advertising on websites and insert affiliate codes as coupon offers. Upon installation, the program creates a folder with a random name in Program Files or ProgramData, and each included file is assigned a randomly generated name. The displayed advertisements can include deceptive malvertising ads for purported updates of common programs, as well as unwanted pop-up advertisements. Furthermore, if the program is downloaded, it may install bundled adware utilities and additional browser extensions, and modify the browser's default security settings.
