The Industriya Toolbar, also known as the Privitize Toolbar, is commonly packaged with the Privitize VPN service, a virtual private network program. This ad-supported browser plugin is compatible with Internet Explorer (BHO) and Firefox/Chrome (plugin), and is distributed through various monetization platforms during installation. The toolbar may display additional banner, search, pop-up, pop-under, interstitial, and in-text link advertisements. Additionally, it includes features that can modify browser settings such as the home page and search settings. In some cases, it may also alter Internet Explorer's load time threshold, place a lock file within Firefox to prevent changes to its settings, and disable the browser's Content Security Policy to allow for cross site scripting.
