IBM Standard Asset Manager

IBM Standard Asset Manager is a software solution created by IBM to assist with asset management. The program includes a startup registration point in Windows to facilitate automatic startup on user PCs. Additionally, it incorporates a Windows Service designed to run continuously in the background. Disruption of this service may result in improper program functioning. The software also features a background controller service set to automatically run, with the option to delay its startup through the service manager. Installation of the program includes approximately 17 files, and it is commonly used on Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 10 operating systems. Although the majority of users are based in the United States, it has gained popularity in Japan and Germany as well.
