Thug Tracker

Developed by Injekt LLC (also known as Western Web Applications, LLC), ThugTracker is an adware-supported extension designed to run within the user's web browser and as a background process. Typically bundled by third-party download managers, this adware program may also include potentially unwanted software offers to monetize installs. ThugTracker is intended to deliver advertisements in various formats, such as banners, text hyperlinks, inline text ads, and transitional ads, without the endorsement of the underlying website. These ads can be injected into the header, footer, or replace legitimate ads on web pages. The promotions may include additional software downloads, price comparison links, and search ads. Users may have the option to access further information about an ad by clicking on the "About this Ad" link. Moreover, the ThugTracker installer may bundle additional software offers, primarily related to adware or potentially unwanted programs (PUPs). The End User License Agreement (EULA) states that during the installation process, product offers may be displayed to enhance web searching efficiency by providing multiple search locations, additional search fields, home page customization, or new browser tabs. Furthermore, the offers may include general utility widgets for accessing real-time weather data and streaming preferred radio stations.
