Browser Address Error Redirector

Google has established partnerships with leading computer hardware manufacturers such as Dell and Gateway to designate Google as the default search engine and homepage on new computers. In Internet Explorer, if a non-existent address is entered into the address bar, the user is typically redirected to a Microsoft homepage with suggested links. However, Google has developed the Browser Address Error Redirector to replace this feature with its own redirect page. This redirect page is designed to offer users helpful and relevant content, including web search results and paid advertisements, based on the meaning of the web address or keyword query entered. Users have the option to uninstall the Browser Address Error Redirector from the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs section, where the application may be listed as "Browser Address Error Redirector" or "GoogleAFE" for older versions.
