Vafmusic Toolbar

The Vafmusic Toolbar is a 'Community Toolbar' developed by Conduit, designed to integrate with popular web browsers such as IE, Chrome, and Firefox. This advertising-supported program is intended to display ads within the toolbar itself and may alter the browser's home page and search settings to gather usage statistics. The toolbar is commonly included with third-party software to help generate revenue. During installation, users may have the option to modify the home and search pages, but this is typically selected by default and overlooked. If the software is uninstalled, the settings will need to be manually reverted. According to the End User License Agreement (EULA), the company has the authority to automatically download and install remote updates, as well as gather and store information about the user's web browsing activities on the PC to enhance the toolbar's services and provide targeted advertising. The EULA states, "By Using a Conduit Software you may enable Conduit to access, use and collect a variety of information, both personal and non-personal, regarding your Internet Browser, your browsing habits, and information about your computer."
