SweetTunes Toolbar for IE

The SweetTunes Toolbar for Internet Explorer is a Conduit-distributed toolbar designed on the community toolbar platform, offering web browser integration. The browser extension is primarily intended to manage the user's search functionality to generate revenue for both the publisher and Conduit. While there are options available during the installation process to prevent search hijacking, the toolbar will also install itself as a toolbar and Browser Helper Object in Internet Explorer. Additionally, many installations include 'Value Apps' that offer extra functionality and various adware extensions like Cash Back and Price Gong. The toolbar is typically bundled with third-party publishers to maximize install revenue, with payouts per installation ranging from a few cents to a couple of dollars depending on the geographical location of the host. The platform often installs a service 'engine' designed to protect the toolbar and modified search and home pages for Conduit's affiliate search partner. According to the License Agreement, the Conduit Software and/or the Customized Software may change Internet Browser settings and provide the ability to make changes to mobile device settings and social network account settings. The toolbar's End User License Agreement (EULA) states that it can: - Change the default search engine, including the Browser's built-in search box, and address bar - Add alternative error page functionality, such as “Page Not Found” - Change the default Home Page and/or New Tabs and protect search settings - Allow Conduit access to location-based information - Allow Conduit access to information contained on the user's social network account.
