NetScout Toolbar

The NetScout Toolbar, developed by Conduit (Community OurToolbar), is a browser extension available for both Internet Explorer and Firefox. This toolbar is designed to enhance web browsing by providing a search box and other generic features. It may also collect and store information about users' browsing habits in order to suggest services or provide relevant advertising. During installation, users should exercise caution as the toolbar may attempt to modify the home page and search provider settings. If these settings are altered, users will need to manually revert them back if they decide to uninstall the toolbar. Additionally, the toolbar may automatically download and install updates without notifying the user. According to the End User License Agreement (EULA), the application may collect and store information about web browsing locally on the user's device. This locally saved information may interact with the application and send relevant browsing data to Conduit's servers, but only generalized inferences are passed from the application to the servers.
