midicairus Toolbar

The midicairus Toolbar is a 'Community Toolbar' developed by Conduit, and it integrates with popular web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox. This toolbar serves as an advertising-supported program, displaying ads within the toolbar and modifying the browser's home page and search settings to gather usage statistics. It is commonly bundled with third-party developer programs to generate revenue from free (and some paid) software. During installation, users may be prompted to modify their home and search pages, although these options are often pre-selected by default and overlooked. If the toolbar is uninstalled, users will need to manually reset their browser settings. According to the End User License Agreement (EULA), the company has the ability to automatically download and install remote updates, as well as collect and store information about the user's web browsing activities locally on their computer. This information is used to suggest additional services and provide targeted advertising. From the license agreement: "By using Conduit Software, you may enable Conduit to access, use, and collect a variety of information, both personal and non-personal, regarding your Internet Browser, your browsing habits, and information about your computer."
