Appmarket is a toolbar for Internet Explorer developed by Conduit Connect. This browser extension and Browser Helper Object is distributed using the Conduit/Perion monetization platform. While typically offered as an optional installation, it is commonly bundled with 3rd party software. Upon installation, the toolbar will modify the home page and new tab pages to a Conduit controlled search portal using Bing as the primary search engine, as well as change the default search provider to utilize Bing. According to the License, the installation process of the Conduit Software and/or the Customized Software may include changes to Internet Browser settings and/or providing the option to make changes to Internet Browser settings and/or mobile device settings and/or social network account settings. This may include a change of the default search engine in the Internet Browser, access to information on social network accounts (which requires explicit and separate opt-in), software updates for the Conduit Software, and the ability to send notifications.
