Babylon

Babylon, developed by Babylon Ltd, is a comprehensive computer dictionary and translation program. This innovative software offers a web browser plugin, allowing users to easily access language translations and definitions through an installed web browser toolbar. Typically, the Babylon Toolbar is included with other software, often freeware and shareware. Prior to installation, users are required to agree to the end user software agreement and accept any changes that will occur during the installation process. While the toolbar has the capability to modify the default search engine provider, users have the option to retain their current settings. It should be noted that the toolbar may also be bundled as an add-on with other software downloads, potentially altering browser preferences such as the user's home page and search engine, which can be challenging to reverse. With just a single click using the right mouse button or a combination of the right mouse button and a keyboard modifier, users can access the Babylon window to view instant translations and definitions. In addition to language translation, Babylon offers features for currency, measurement, and time conversion, as well as access to other contextual information.
