SafeSearch

SafeSearch is a browser plugin supported by ads, which may appear in various formats such as banners, pop-ups, and in-text links. It is compatible with Internet Explorer (BHO) and Firefox/Chrome (plugin) and is distributed through multiple monetization platforms during installation. The plugin includes features that can modify browser settings, such as the homepage and search settings. Additionally, it may adjust Internet Explorer's load time threshold and prevent competing software from changing settings in Firefox by placing a lock file. The plugin also disables the browser's Content Security Policy to allow for cross-site scripting. SafeSearch is commonly bundled as an additional offer with the StartInstall download manager.
